Schedule:
7:30 hrs. Pick-up at Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya. Leave for the Reserve.
8:30 hrs. Pick-up at the Tulum Hotel Zone.
9:00 hrs. Pick up at HSBC Bank in Tulum Town. Leave for the Reserve.
9:30 hrs. Arrive at the entrance of the Muyil Archeological Site (north west part of Sian Ka’an Reserve) where the guide will explain the objectives of the reserve and important facts about the existing flora, fauna and ecosystems. Walk an interpretative trail to learn about the vegetation found in the tropical forest. Climb a 35 feet observatory. Leave for Muyil Lagoon.
11:30 hrs. Get into a open-air boat with an outboard motor. See diverse ecosystems, plants and birds in the lagoons of Muyil and Chunyaxche. Travel through a natural canal used by the ancient Maya as a trade route and explore Mayan temples. Swim in the fresh water canal and relax as the current takes you downstream.
13:30 hrs. Return to Muyil.
14:30 hrs. On the way back to Tulum, we’ll have a refreshment at Cenote Escondido, a beautiful sinkhole with pristine waters surrounded by untouched jungle.
16:00 hrs. Drop off at Hotel.

Recommendations:
Wear swimsuits under light cotton clothing with long sleeves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sandals or wet shoes and tennis shoes. Take an extra T-shirt, insect repellent, sunblock lotion, purified water, towel, simple camera. We suggest binoculars and snorkel gear if you have them.
